Five Ways to Make Money

Do you want to be wealthy?
Have you ever seen your self as one who can ever attain wealth?
What amount of financial power do you think you deserve?
How do you plan on making money?
Am not asking you those questions, am asking myself. I want to be financially successful. One of my major goals this year is to have two kids on my scholarship. But I know one thing, you can only help the needy when you are not counted among them. A prisoner can not bale out another prisoner. Am not saying am poor but I haven't gotten to that level economically that I want to be. But I can get there and so can you. In studying I discovered five basic ways people make money and I will tell you at the end the one I chose for myself

 Lottery
Many get rich by winning the lottery. This kind of wealth comes in an instant and usually effortless. Most young men spend their time and money trying to get luck and some do (1 in a million). The only issue I have with this method is most lucky guys go back to their original state before they won the money because their pockets grew but not their minds. Am I against this method? No! Do I encourage it? No! You can not bank on becoming rich by this method.

 Inheritance
Another way of making money is by inheritance. This is a cool old fashion method of becoming rich. But you have to wait till someone dies or you actually take the initiative and press their head with a pillow. This method also has it's issues. Most wealth inherited dissipate with 2 to 3 generations. You go ask the descendants of King Solomon. I don't want to wait for someones demise to get my hands on Moola, don't know about you.

Earning It
This is one way of earning money but most people believe its the only way. In order to earn money you have to believe you can and also provide value for which you can exchange. You earn money (get paid) for bringing value to the market place. At this stage of making money, you work for money by exchanging your time for it. Its a good deal but not the best.

Investing Money
At this point money begins to work for you. You also get paid for value but here your value that you provide does not include your time. You make money where ever you are. That's independence.

Finding It
Seriously, finding it? Ya finding it. When you place a financial goal in your mind long enough your mind begins to look for and find out opportunities to achieve the financial target. You don't find the money on the floor but you see opportunity and find solutions to problems that you couldn't see before. Facebook is a solution to connection problem with long lost friends no wonder Mark can go to bed and wake up richer than he was the day before. Find and solve a human problem and money will find you.
I believe a combination of the last three ways of making money will turn around your financial fortune. I love this post. Do you?

Three Reasons Traditional Schooling Is Preventing You From Financial Success

Add caption
Hello University graduate. How are you. If you are in Nigeria, the most common answer would be things like; Buhari no want make we see garri, no empowerment for the youths, men we de hustling mode, and so on. I believe all these answers are not far from the truth. but are they all the truth and nothing but the truth. That's not all the truth.
One aspect of the story that most people have not considered is their own role and that of the educational system that produced them. I believe our traditional educational system has and is still doing more harm than good to our society. For those that don't know I studied Civil Engineering at the University of Portharcourt. Great school with not so great administrators and lecturers. After my first degree I went back for a PGD in Business Management. In the course of the program I discovered one of the inadequacies of the system. I was being taught to become a seeker of jobs instead of a creator of jobs. Needless to say, I dropped out. Apart from this inadequacy their are more dangerous and subtle ones.
We are going to look at three time bombs our schools have set in our society. Ready?

Competition Mentality
How many historical accomplishments have been achieved on the platform of competition. I believe none. Back in school you see two sit mates sharing ideas in the exam hall and you call it malpractice. That's collaboration. The next time each on comes to the exam hall with micro cheeps in their pockets, pants and like one of my course mates will have his in between paper rule. Men that guy was a genius. It took a long time before we figured out why one student came to exams with five rules. What if instead of competition we all go for collaboration. Collaboration with like minded people. You see if you are competing, there is a greater risk of failure except you are the guy dominating. Look for and explore avenues for symbiotic relationships in business and professional careers. Most business die shortly after been lunched because they are trying to compete with bigger ones. If you want to be financially successful don't compete like you school teacher encouraged you to.

Corporate Learning
This is another destroyer and leakage of your finances. We were taught as a group using one particular method that did not favour the majority. Back in school some days you come to school fascinated about the nine planets and the teacher was teaching about types of marriage. When you ask about the planets, he tells you to sit down because that is not the topic of the day. So you learn to learn what others are learning not what you want to learn. Now you out of school, right? If you want to succeed, you have to go for personalized learning. Not every one will read this post to this point. Reason, its not what they want at this point of their lives. You have to go after what you want. Albert Einstein said "Every one is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid". Personalized learning will make the difference in your life

Is That What I Told You to Do
How many times have we heard those words from our teachers from primary school to the University. They expect us to define a thing or process just the way they defined it. Our classes are always arranged in rows and columns and when the kids playfully rearranges the class they are flogged. The world would have been the same if not for creativity. The world has been transformed by rebels, men and women that have challenged the status-quo. If you want to be successful you must first break the rules that had held you back from been creative. When I wanted to go into teaching some folks said No! Engineering graduate? No! I said no to their no. Now your reading my article and someday my books in the area of my passion. You know passion births creativity.

I love my teachers but hate their concepts. Many youths are suffering today because after University no teachers is coming to give them assignments. They are no longer told what to do and they don't do any thing because their creativity is in a red. They can't compete any more because all their class mates are gone. Friends why compete when you can fine people to collaborate with? Why go obsolete when you can engage in personal development in the area of your passion? Why waste your potential waiting for some one to tell you what to do when you can creatively follow you passion?
If you loved this post why read it alone when you can share with friends.
